In keeping with its American commitment, Buck Knives has created an all-new series of lightweight but durable BuckLite Max knives – fixed-blade and folders – designed to replace their Diamondback and Bantam knives, with many added features and benefits. There are three BuckLite Max fixed-blades, all with full-tang skinning blades made of Buck's performance-rated 420HC stainless steel. The soft, textured black Alcryn rubber handles have grip ridges and finger grooves for a comfortable, sure grip. There's a lanyard hole in the handle and a heavy-duty nylon sheath for carry options. The small Model 673 BuckLite Max has a 3 1/4 inch blade, is 7 3/8 inches overall and weighs just 2.8 ounces The larger Model 679 BuckLite Max has a 4-inch blade, is 8-3/4” overall and weighs 5.5 oounces. Buck includes the same basic design and performance features are offered in their new Folding BuckLite Max family. Available in three sizes and created to replace the old Bantam Series, these new knives all have a drop-point blade, made of 420HC stainless steel, and they open easily with either hand, aided by dual thumb studs. The blade's lock-back mechanism keeps it locked open safely in use. The lightweight glass-reinforced nylon handle has a reversible pocket clip placed high on the handle for discreet carry, and there is also a lanyard hole.
